When I was 13, I started to keep a journal online of day-to-day babblings. Little did I know that this was called, quite simply, a “blog.” That was 8 years ago, and I’m still alive, kicking, and bitching. I blog about generally everything…news, politics, life, college, entertainment, random stuff, etc. My blog doesn’t really have a title; “skankage” is just a username I thought of many moons ago (*flashback to 16-year-old Catie watching TV. She sees some slutlike girl on TV and mutters, “Wow, she’s really skankage. *pause* SKANKAGE! That’s it!”*). I just thought it was a funny screen name. It’s not sexual in any way (as thought by the Wikipedia people), and it does not refer to myself or anyone else as a skank. I don’t consider myself to be a skanky individual, but I’ll leave that up to your discretion.
I’m 22 years old, and I live in the South. The dirty, deep South. I’m talking about the land of rednecks, incest, big trucks, moonshine, and bad teeth, here. I, however, do not participate in this lifestyle. I’m very liberal and opinionated. I try to be as open-minded as I possibly can regarding all sorts of topics. I have particularly strong stances on homosexuality, women’s rights, and education, in particular. It’s dangerous to provoke me when it comes to those areas.
Hobbies, hobbies…do I have any hobbies? I don’t do much when I’m not in work or school. I enjoy spending time with my friends. I play video games…casually. I adore music, and I take pride in the fact that I have a decent amount of knowledge in that area. I read Wikipedia articles for fun. I like to learn, but that’s only when I’m interested in the subject. I like to read, but only if it’s for pleasure. I like to eat, but not steak because that’s just gross. I like to sleep, but not past noon because I feel like I’ve wasted my day. I love animals, but I’m not too fond of insects. I like to bitch, and that’s pretty much anytime. Forgive me.
